Last week the Incrementa team brought together 20+ of our clients and strategic partners for an impactful lesson in team alignment.

We value the incredible people our events bring together and the shared experiences created.

Team alignment and the river Gods

White water rafting was a work event? You know it!

White water rafting is an amazing example of team alignment. After all, if you’re not all working together while riding the river, you’ll become a sacrifice to the river Gods!

Value add and a few key elements in getting your team aligned

  • Shared vision that everyone buys into. In this case, it’s getting to down the river in one piece.
  • Clear outcomes and metrics for success. We want to get to the bottom, while losing the minimum number of people along the way. Except that Bob in accounting. He can be a sacrifice.
  • Teamwork. Everyone rowing in the same direction. If Bob rows forward, when Betty rows backwards, all you’re going to do is go around in circles.
  • Celebration of success. In this case it meant an après raft pub run for burgers, beers and tall tales. Celebration at the end of a project is a necessity.

Our events are also help us create a greater impact. This event raised over $800 for West Coast Kids Foundation. The funds help support the medical supplies for day camps for children living with cancer and their families.

Thank you all so very much for coming and being part of Incrementa’s extended family. Based on the feedback, we will be doing this again next year!
