Dave Cavan has found his perfect role in industry

Thoughts

It has been said that luck is the intersection of preparedness and opportunity.   An opportunity has come my way recently providing one of those intersections that I’ve been preparing for throughout my career.

As a result I am leaving my Incrementa (un)consulting hat behind and stepping into a new role. I am excited that a role that takes advantage of my sales leadership experience in a practical, day-to-day way has come forward with a growing software and business services company.

Sales is to a business as fuel is to an engine.  It is the basic ingredient required to drive the business every day to meet the needs of existing customers, and to bring new customers into the business.  This understanding has fueled my passion to help companies thrive and grow for a long time now and it is still what gets me up in the morning looking for new ways to help businesses be successful.

My time with the Incrementa family has provided me the opportunity to leverage my hands-on experience to guide clients in developing their own strategies and plans to set themselves up for the success they deserve. It has been a fantastic opportunity to work with a range of companies, owners, and individuals, and I have enjoyed this experience immensely, and learned much, so this has been a difficult decision.

However, the timing is right and the opportunity is compelling, so it’s time to take on this new challenge.

I will be working through March to wrap up work here at Incrementa while phasing into the new environment.  I have much to thank the Incrementa family and community for and I look forward to hearing about their success along their own journey – I expect nothing less from this talented group.

So please, let’s stay in touch and share our successes, and lessons, along the way.

From Mike Knapp

One of the most amazing things about friends and families is that our paths cross, great things happen, then we go separate ways.  While we’re apart, we make new stories and have great experiences to share when our paths cross again.

I’m not saying that Dave was running short on stories or anything, but I can’t wait to hear some new ones!

Seriously, it’s awesome that Dave has found a role that’s so perfectly aligned to his background and purpose that he’s EXCITED to get working on it.  As a member of our family, we can only be happy for him.

From Ralph Newbigin

It’s natural to be very sorry when we see a member of the Incrementa family flies the nest, it’s also very heartening to reflect that we may have played some small part in their development.  Dave is moving on to a new and exciting challenge.  I know that he has all the skill, experience and determination to ensure that it proves to be a beneficial move for both Phoenix Systems and Dave himself.  We’ll miss Dave’s broad perspective during our family meetings. Good luck Dave!
