Horizon Contracting Group has been providing landscaping construction and maintenance services in British Columbia for three decades. A member of the leadership team approached Mike because they felt like they needed help taking their self-implemented Entrepreneurial Operating System (EOS) to the next level. They were also unsure of what their purpose was, even though they are a purpose-driven organization.
Horizon is a classic example of a business in which the founder is absolutely amazing at what he does, leading to the business growing quickly. It’s very common for businesses to outgrow their capabilities, plateau, and then start to dip – Horizon did not want to fall into this trap.
Incrementa worked with Horizon to enhance their EOS implementation. They aimed to create more clarity in EOS around their organizational design and health, including:
They also worked on how to implement the execution disciplines well, such as rolling out level 10 meetings, developing Rocks, and developing tools to help drive accountability.
Working with Mike is helping them identify how to improve and standardize systems and processes so that they can continue to achieve the great results they’ve had in the past as they continue to grow.
As a result, Horizon’s leadership has renewed their commitment to working with Incrementa toward these goals.
